Taco seasoned meat

I love taco seasoning on just about everything but I have to make my own to ensure that there is nothing nasty in it. My favorite thing to put it on is ground beef. My favorite time to eat my seasoned beef is morning. So I pair this with eggs and veggies to create a yummy and filling breakfast 😊

Taco seasoning

1/4 cup chili powder (the kind that is purely ground chiles-no fillers)
1/2 cup onion powder
1/4 cup cumin
2 Tbs garlic powder (the granulated kind)
2 Tbs paprika
2 Tbs salt (the pink kind like Redmond’s real salt)

Mix all ingredients well in a ziplock bag or bowl and spoon into a bottle or store in ziplock bag. Also try it on sweet potatoes and chicken

Taco seasoned meat
2 Tbs coconut oil
2 lbs extra lean ground beef (12-15% fat)
Approx. 3-4 Tbs taco seasoning
Approx. 2 oz. water

Heat the oil in a skillet over medium heat then add beef and brown it and crumble it. Once meat is browned, reduce heat to low and add water and seasoning. Stir well and simmer 5-10 minutes. Taste and adjust seasoning accordingly. Try adding lime juice and hot sauce at the end. Enjoy!
