BBQ burgers with sweet potato spears and asparagus

BBQ burgers

2.5 lbs ground beef
Garlic powder, to taste
Onion powder, to taste
Smoked paprika, to taste
Salt and pepper to taste

Mix a ingredients together in a large mixing bowl. I use about equal amounts of all seasonings except I a little less pepper than the other seasonings. Form into 8 equal size balls and form into burger patties. BBQ turning once and cook to 160 degrees internal temperature.

Sweet potato spears

3 sweet potatoes
Olive oil
Garlic powder
Onion powder
Salt
Cayenne pepper
Chili powder
2 tablespoons lime juice (about the juice of 2 limes)

Cut sweet potatoes in half lengthwise then cut the halves in half lengthwise also so you have 4 long spears. Place in ziplock bag and drizzle in enough olive oil to generously coat the sweet potatoes and season to taste with rest of ingredients. Go easy on the cayenne pepper and chili powder if you don’t like spice. BBQ on top rack of BBQ or on low heat turning once cooking until soft when you poke them. Sprinkle with lime juice.

Asparagus

Asparagus
Olive oil
Salt and pepper, to taste
Garlic powder, to taste

Add desired amount of asparagus to a mixing bowl and add enough olive oil to coat asparagus generously. Season to taste with salt, pepper and garlic powder to taste. Mix asparagus well to coat with oil and seasoning. Wrap up asparagus in 1-2 layers of foil. BBQ in foil turning once cooking until softened to your liking. Remove from foil when you take it off BBQ or it will keep cooking in foil.

Serve together and enjoy 😊
