Lemon-herb roasted chicken

I had never roasted a whole chicken before. I’m glad I tried it. It’s so delicious and really easy to prepare!

1 whole chicken
Olive oil
Salt and pepper
Dried thyme
Dried parsley
Dried oregano
Dried marjoram
1 lemon

Remove innards of chicken, rinse and pat dry
Rub inside and out with olive oil
Salt and pepper chicken inside and out
Zest lemon and rub on chicken
Juice half of lemon over chicken and put both halves inside chicken
Rub desired amount of dried herbs all over chicken
Place in skillet and roast in 425 degree for 15 minutes then reduce heat to 375 degrees and continue roasting for an hour
Let rest about 10 minutes
Slice and enjoy!
