Italian meat 

Who says you can’t eat the filling for Italian dishes!? Not me! I love making regular recipes paleo. I adapted a cheesy meaty manicotti recipe into this creamy tomato Italian meat dish. Please try it and enjoy!

1/2 lb ground beef
1/2 lb Italian sausage (without casings)
1 medium yellow onion
1/2 cup dry white wine
2 cups almond milk
Small handful of fresh basil
Dried oregano
Dried thyme
Dried marjoram 
Salt and pepper to taste
1-14 oz can Italian style diced tomatoes

Chop onions and basil
Drain tomatoes
Heat a skillet over medium heat
Add beef and sausage in a skillet over medium heat and add in onions as the meat begins to release some fat
Brown meat then drain meat and set aside 
Add wine to skillet and stir to get up the browned bits 
Bring wine to a boil then add almond milk, seasonings and basil
Simmer the sauce on low heat stirring often for about 15 minutes then add the meat and tomatoes
Serve and enjoy!
