Sweet & spicy orange chicken with roasted rutabaga & sweet potato fries

This is on the menu tonight 🙂

2 lbs chicken
1 tsp Toasted sesame oil
1 tsp siracha
1 tsp wheat free soy sauce (tamari sauce)
1 Tbs orange juice
Garlic powder to taste
Onion powder to taste
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tsp honey
1 rutabaga
1 sweet potato
Olive oil
Chinese five spice to taste

Preheat oven to 400 degrees
Coat chicken with oil, then siracha, then soy sauce, then orange juice, then seasonings (garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper), then honey and set aside or refrigerate and marinade while preparing fries
Cut rutabaga and sweet potato into fries
Toss and coat fries with olive oil
Sprinkle Chinese five spice and salt on top
Spread in single layer on baking sheet
Bake at 400 degrees for 20-30 minutes until golden and delicious checking halfway through to stir
While the fries are baking:
Heat skillet on medium low heat
Cook in skillet over medium low heat turning occasionally until chicken reaches 165 degrees internally
Serve chicken with fries
